KENT, Wash. – (SU Media Relations) Seattle University was able to use different combinations on the court Monday night, all of them showing stifling defense as the Redhawks defeated the Pacific Lutheran Lutes, 72-33, in the fourth annual ShoWare College Classic at the ShoWare Center.

Jarell Flora hit four three-pointers as he led the Redhawks with 16 points and four assists, while Jack Crook notched a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds, plus he dished out three assists. Manroop Clair came off the bench and hit four three-pointers of his own to finish with 12 points, five rebounds and two steals.

Sacramento State 65, Utah Valley 56

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – (UVU Media Relations) Mitch Bruneel led the Utah Valley University men's basketball team with a team-high 15 points while Donte Williams added 10 in a 65-56 setback to Sacramento State Monday night at the Nest.
 
With the loss, Utah Valley's record evens at 3-3. Sacramento State improves to 4-1 with the victory. The game marks the fifth of seven straight road games for the Wolverines, who will continue road play at Montana State Saturday night.
 
Despite trailing by 14 points, 39-25, at halftime, Utah Valley battled back and cut the lead to just six points, 62-56, with 2:17 remaining. The Wolverines then missed a shot to cut the lead to five points and Sacramento State hit a free throw and a field goal to secure the win.
