KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Grace Mitchell recorded her first double-double of the season and the third of her career with season-high’s and team-high’s of 13 points and 10 rebounds, as the Missouri-Kansas City women’s basketball team fell 74-58 on Monday afternoon at Municipal Auditorium.
“I’m proud that our team continues to fight,” Head Coach Marsha Frese said. “This young team has shown that they will battle hard every game. We will continue to look to find a way to start games better and be locked in from the get go. We left quite a few points on the floor tonight, but we had opportunities for success and that’s the type of growth we are looking for from this team.”
With the loss, the ‘Roos fall to 2-10 on the season, while SIU Edwardsville improves to 5-6 this year. Mitchell’s double-double marks the ‘Roos second of the season as Kiana Law registered the first against Rockhurst.
