New Mexico State 78, Northern New Mexico 39

LAS CRUCES, N.M. – (NM State Media Relations) Five players scored in double figures as New Mexico State used a balanced offensive attack to upend Northern New Mexico 78-39 Monday evening at the Pan American Center.

NM State was efficient on offense and hit 46 percent (28-of-60) of its shots. Meanwhile, NNM struggled to find traction against a tough Aggie defense and shot 29 percent (14-of-48) from the field. The Aggies also forced 21 turnovers, which turned into 17 points.

NM State dominated the game in front of the basket and out-rebounded NNM 44-26 – and hauled in 16 offensive boards. The Aggies also outscored the Eagles 22-14 in the paint.

Senior Remi Barry scored a game-high 15 points and finished 5-of-6 from the charity stripe.

Pascal Siakan, DK Eldridge and Ian Baker each scored 13 points and Braxton Huggins helped out with 10.

With the win the Aggies snapped a three-game losing streak.

Tennessee Tech 81, Missouri-Kansas City 60

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – (UMKC Media Relations) Tennessee Tech took it to UMKC in the first half and held the 'Roos off in the finals stanza for an 81-60 victory on Monday night at Municipal Auditorium. With the loss, UMKC drops to 4-9 on the year.

UMKC shot only 35 percent, while the guests hit 59 percent on the night. The ‘Roos forced 19 turnovers, but could only get 11 points off them. The 'Roos were 3-of-21 from three-point range, the fewest made in a game this season for UMKC, as was the 14 percent clip. UMKC also shot 58.6 percent from the free throw line, making the team 0-4 when shooting lower than 60 percent.

Noah Knight had a career-high 12 points, while Martez Harrison finished with 16 points.

SIU-Edwardsville 63, Chicago State 38

EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. – The Cougars remained winless on the road (0-8) with a 63-38 loss at SIU-Edwardsville Monday. With the loss, Chicago State drops to 3-11 on the season.

The Cougars shot 30 percent from the field, 25 percent from three-point range and just 20 percent from the free throw line on the game. SIUE, meanwhile, connected on 38 percent from the floor, 47 percent downtown and 54 percent from the charity stripe, taking 30 more free throws than Chicago State. SIUE won the rebounding battle, 43-35.

Rahjan Muhammad paced the Cougars with seven points, while Johnny Griffin grabbed a team-high eight rebounds.
