New Mexico State 4, Northern Colorado 3  
Staci Rodriguez hit a grand slam in the bottom of the seventh inning to lead the Aggies to a 4-3 win over Northern Colorado in their first game of the day at the Troy Cox Classic Saturday. Rodriguez was one of five Aggies with multiple hits in the game. Makayla McAdams earned the win, allowing one run on two hits over 2.1 innings to improve to 2-1 on the season.

New Mexico State 5, Iowa State 4
In the nightcap, the Aggies again won in the bottom of the seventh inning when B Nakamura singled up the middle to score give New Mexico State a 5-4 win over Iowa State.

Kansas City 7, Butler 6 (8)
Brooke Parker hit an RBI-single to left field to drive in the winning run in the bottom of the eighth inning as the Kangaroos defeated Butler 7-6 at the Arkansas Invitational Saturday. With the win, Kansas City improves to 4-4 on the season. Alexandra Friloux was 3-for-4 with one run, while Caitlin Christopher hit a three-run bomb and Marlee Maples had a two-run homer. Cinda Ramos earned the win, allowing one run on six hits, while striking out two over 4.2 innings.

Grand Canyon 4, New Mexico 2
The Antelopes defeated New Mexico 4-2 in its first game of the day at the Hillenbrand Invitational Saturday. Camree Wartman was 2-for-2 with a triple, two runs and two RBI, while Kelsey Barak was 1-for-3 and drove in a run. Kailey Regester picked up the win, allowing one run on four hits over 5.0 innings. Stephanie Pesqueira earned the save, allowing one run on two hits while striking out two over 2.0 innings.

Tennessee State 3, Grand Canyon 2
Later in the day, the 'Lopes fell 3-2 to Tennessee State to fall to 4-6 on the season. Haley Walker was 2-for-3 with a double and one RBI, while Wartman also had a double and drove in a run.

Sacramento State 11, Bakersfield 6
The Roadrunners fell 11-6 to Sacramento State in their first game of the day at the Fresno State Kick-Off Saturday. Bakersfield had 12 hits in the loss, but committed four errors. Amy Ricciardi was 2-for-3 with two RBI, while Karissa Veiga was 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. Madison Bundy and Ashley Carter also drove in runs in the loss.

UC Santa Barbara 6, Bakersfield 0
The 'Runners were shut out 6-0 by UC Santa Barbara later in the day. Bakersfield stranded six runners and committed an error in the loss. Ricciardi accounted for two of the five Bakersfield hits.

Utah 9, Seattle U 1 (5)
The Redhawks fell 9-1 in five innings to Utah in their first game of the Easton Desert Classic Saturday. Hayley Beckstrom accounted for two of Seattle U's three hits, while Lisa Maulden hit a solo homer for the Redhawks' only run.

Seattle U 6, Portland State 5 (9)
The Redhawks pounded out 13 hit to defeat Portland State 6-5 in nine innings Saturday night and improve to 2-9 on the season. Jenny Hurst was 3-for-4 and drove in two runs, while Maulden was 3-for-5 with one RBI. Bubba Morrow was 2-for-5 with a home run and two RBI. Lindsay Davis earned the win in relief, allowing one run on two hits while striking out four over 3.0 innings.

Toledo 3, Utah Valley 1
The Wolverines fell 3-1 to Toledo in their first game of the Easton Desert Classic Saturday. Utah Valley was limited to two hits in the loss, one apiece by Morgan Summers and Brianna Gatlin.

UNLV 7, Utah Valley 2
The Wolverines fell 7-2 to host UNLV in the nightcap to drop to 0-8 on the season. Erin Romero hit a solo homer in the top of the fourth and Brittney Vansway had an RBI-double in the fifth to account for the two Utah Valley runs.
