The Aggies beat Incarnate Word 8-0 in six innings with a walk-off double by Staci Rodriguez to close out the UTEP Invitational Sunday with a perfect 5-0 record. With the win, New Mexico State improves to 10-5 this season and extends its winning streak to eight games. Rodriguez was 2-for-4 with three RBI, while Tatum Reedy was 2-for-2 with a solo homer and a sacrifice fly. Celisha Walker earned the win in the circle, throwing a complete-game two-hitter and striking out two.
Seattle U 3, UC Riverside 1
The Redhawks closed out the Amy S. Harrison Classic with a 3-1 win over host UC Riverside Sunday to improve to 5-11 on the season. Kayla Shuster-Gonzalez hit a solo homer, while Lisa Maulden and Jenny Hurst drove in the other two Seattle U runs. Alyssa Reuble earned her first win in the circle, allowing one run on seven hits with one strikeout over seven innings.
Southern Utah 9, Grand Canyon 8
The Antelopes closed out the GCU Invitational with a 9-8 loss to Southern Utah Sunday, snapping a four-game winning steak and evening their record at 8-8 on the season. Jenna Coates led GCU at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI. Camree Wartman was 2-for-2 and drove in two runs, while Haley Walker was 2-for-2 with one RBI.
UT Arlington 8, Kansas City 0 (6)
The Kangaroos closed out the UTA Hilton Invitational with an 8-0 six-inning loss to the host Mavericks to fall to 5-9 on the season. Kansas City had four hits in the loss, one apiece by Cinda Ramos, Marlee Maples, Carnecia Kirkwood and Katie Kelley.
Loyola Marymount 1, Bakersfield 0
The Roadrunners fell 1-0 to Loyola Marymount in their first game of Amy S. Harrison Classic Sunday. Sydney Raeber got the lone Bakersfield hit in the loss.
UC Riverside 1, Bakersfield 0
Despite out-hitting UC Riverside 8-6, the 'Runners closed out the Amy S. Harrison Classic with a 1-0 loss to the host Highlanders to drop to 2-13 on the season. Bakersfield stranded eight runners in the loss. Three players – Karissa Veiga, Amy Ricciardi and Jessica Castaneda – had two hits each in the game.
