DENVER – Idaho’s Ryan Porch has been named the Western Athletic Conference Golfer of the Week for Feb. 17-23.
Porch, a freshman from Kalispell, Mont. (Glacier HS), helped lead the Vandals to a third place finish at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate last week. He carded a three-round score of 7-under par, 209, placing tied for third overall. After recording a 3-over par 75 in the opening round, Porch carded a 3-under par 69 in round two. He then wrapped up the tournament with a final round 7-under par 65.
