TEAM RECAPS
Bakersfield Roadrunners  
Bakersfield competed at the Run for the Dream event in Fresno, Calif., on Feb. 17 ... Megan Thompson crossed the finish line in first place in the 800m with a time of 2:23.20, more than three seconds faster than any of her competitors ... the 4x400m relay team of Marina Emhoff, Erica Wilcox, Ariana Mariscal, and Alyssa Page ... the quartet accumulated a time of 4:00.62 in their first ever relay together  to place first ... sophomore Audrena Harlan best jump was 10.89m (35-08.75 ft), good enough to place seventh overall in a pool of 12 strong jumpers ... freshman LaShya Morgan’s time of 11:18.39 in the 3000m was good enough for fourth place ... the ‘Runners are back in action this week at the WAC Indoor Track and Field Championships from Wednesday-Friday in Moscow, Idaho.

Chicago State Cougars
Chicago State competed at the Panther Tune Up in Milwaukee, Wisc. last weekend ... the women scored 39 points and placed second among eight teams ... the men scored 32 points and finished fourth of six teams ... sophomore Kory Jackson earned a second-place finish in the long jump with an effort of 6.96-meters ... senior Jaya Emerson took first place in the shot put in the shot put, with a mark of 13.22-meters, and in the weight throw, with a toss of 14.26-meters ... freshman DeJania Evans scored in the high jump with an effort of 1.50 meters ... senior Corey Scharf ran the 400 meters in 50.94, good for the day’s best time ... this week, the Cougars are at the WAC Track and Field Championships in Moscow, Idaho, from Wednesday-Friday.

Idaho Vandals  
Idaho competed at the WSU Open II last weekend ... the Vandals ended the meet with three individual victories – sophomore Halie Raudenbush in the 3000m with a converted time of 10:22.82, senior Andrew Bloom in the 400m with a converted time of 48.62 and freshman Arphaxad Carroll in the long jump with a mark of 22-3.5 ... for the women, freshman Ana Pardo finished second in the shot put with a mark of 44-8 (13.61m) and senior Kelly Jacka placed third in the 200m with a season best time of 25.17 ... on the men’s side, junior Emmanuel Panchol finished third in the high jump with a mark of 6-8.25 (2.04) while freshman Phillip Kearns placed third in the 800m (1:56.54) followed by sophomore Santos Vargas in fourth (1:57.06) and sophomore Nathan Stark in fifth (1:57.55) ... this week, the Vandals will host the WAC Indoor Track and Field Championships from Wednesday-Friday at the ASUI Kibbie Dome.

Kansas City Kangaroos
Kansas City traveled to Warrensburg, Mo. for the UCM Classic on Feb. 21 and won a season-high five events ... Michelle Momo led the way for the ‘Roos with victories in the women’s long jump (5.67m) and the 60-meter dash (7.75) ... the UMKC women went 1-2-3 in the 800-meter run with Janell Johnson, in her season debut, leading the way at 2:21.83 – followed by Angel Gannon (2:22.09) and Florence Osei (2:26.02) ... in the 400-meter dash Chantel Bethune and freshman Kamaya Tucker went 1-2 at 58.35 and 58.46, respectively ... Kris Leverette won the men’s weight throw at 17.10m, with Martin Williams second at 16.60m ... Blake Hocking took the men’s shot put with a distance of 15.81m ... this week, the ‘Roos compete at the 2014 WAC Indoor Track and Field Championships from Wednesday-Friday in Moscow, Idaho.

New Mexico State Aggies
The NM State track and field comes off the Red Raider Open on Feb. 14 ... the meet was headlined by junior Diana Hawk finishing first in the 1000-meter run with a time of 2:58.33, which moved her into second all-time for NM State ... NM State also finished first in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 3:48.52 ... sophomore Marissa Gonzales finished sixth in the pole vault with a height of 3.35m (10-11.75), which moved her into second all-time for the Aggies ... the Aggies also finished first in the 600-yard run, where sophomore Ashley Hall led the team with a time of 1:28.90 ... the Aggies conclude the spring season this week at the 2014 WAC Indoor Track and Field Championships from Wednesday-Friday in Moscow, Idaho.

Seattle University Redhawks
The Redhawks last competed at the Husky Classic Feb. 14-16 ... Sophie Curatilo inched closer to the school record in the mile, finishing in 4:57.57, less than two seconds off the school record set five years ago ... she also moved into second place on the WAC performance list in that event ...  the women’s 4x400 meter relay team combined for a time of 3:58.80, almost three seconds faster than the previous mark set at last year’s conference championships ... Zachary Schlachter finished second overall in the 200 meter dash in 22.17 seconds ... Shaddye Melu  finished eighth overall in both the 200 meter dash, in 22.42 seconds, and in the 400 meter dash, in 48.99 seconds .. this week, SU is at the 2014 WAC Indoor Track and Field Championships from Wednesday-Friday in Moscow, Idaho.

Texas-Pan American Broncs
The Broncs competed at the Red Raider Open from Feb. 14-15 in their final meet of the season before the WAC Indoor Championships ... Trey Taylor and Jasmine Davison recorded career-best throws as they won the men’s and women’s weight throw with throws of 17.16 and 17.12 meters respectively ... senior Jesus Alvarez finished in third in the men’s shot put with a throw of 15.74 meters ... junior Deandra Barroso finished in third in the women’s long jump with a distance of 5.64 meters ... the Broncs posted nine top-five finishes at the Red Raider Open ... this week, the Broncs compete at thee 2014 WAC Indoor Track and Field Championships from Wednesday-Friday in Moscow, Idaho.

Utah Valley Wolverines
Utah Valley University finished its run-up to its first ever WAC Indoor Track and Field Championships after completing competition at the Wildcat Indoor Open last weekend ... Savannah Heywood finished second in the 800m run, posting a time of 2:21.91 ... Levi Ball came in second in pole vault after clearing 4.70m, the second-best vault of the indoor season for Utah Valley... Wolverine junior Michael McPherson was in Albuquerque, N.M. at the USA Track and Field Indoor Championships where he finished fifth in heptathlon with a personal best of 5535 points and also set PRs in four of the seven events ... McPherson’s points total, along with his 1000m time of 2:43.15, are UVU records ... this week, the Wolverines will compete at the 2014 WAC Indoor Track and Field Championships from Wednesday-Friday in Moscow, Idaho.
