CHICAGO STATE
Chicago State went 0-3 last week, falling at home to Texas-Pan American, Grand Canyon and Eastern Illinois ... Carynne Lloyd has won three singles matches in a row for the first time all season and has won four out of her last five ... she leads the team in singles victories in the spring season with six and is one of only two Cougars over .500 in singles play in the spring ... Lloyd is 5-1 at No. 5 singles ... this week, the Cougars play three matches on the road ... CSU plays Northern Iowa on Thursday, Iowa on Saturday and Western Illinois on Sunday.

GRAND CANYON
GCU went 3-1 on a weekend trip to Chicago ... the ‘Lopes topped South Dakota State, 4-3, Chicago State, 4-1, and Detroit-Mercy, 4-2 ... the ‘Lopes lone loss was to Chicago-Illinois, 4-3 ... Janaki Gunuganti went 7-1 in matches this week, winning all four of her singles matches ... she has currently won five-straight singles matches ... this week, GCU travels to Edinburg, Texas for two matches against WAC schools, facing Texas-Pan American on Friday and Kansas City on Saturday.

IDAHO
Idaho defeated Kansas City, 7-0, in its only match of the week ... the Vandals entered the national top-75 last week, checking in at No. 73 ... the Vandals have won seven matches in a row after falling in the season-opener, improving to 7-1 on the season ... Victoria Lozano picked up a tight, three-set singles victory at the top spot against UMKC and an easy, 8-1 doubles victory in the same match ... Lozano overcame a 5-7 first-set singles loss for the 5-7, 6-2, 1-0 (10-3) victory to improve to 6-2 in singles play on the season, all at the Nos. 1 and 2 positions ... this week, the Vandals travel to Boise, Idaho for matches against Boise State on Friday and Idaho State on Saturday.

KANSAS CITY
The ‘Roos went 1-3 last weekend ... UMKC defeated Lewis-Clark State, 7-0, sandwiched around two losses to ranked opponents, in No. 73 Idaho and No. 59 Washington State, during a Northwest road trip ... Kansas City then travelled to face Iowa, falling 7-0 ... this week, Kansas City travels to

NEW MEXICO STATE
New Mexico State went 1-1 last weekend, knocking off Southern Miss, 5-2 and falling to Abilene Christian, 4-3 ... Susana Alcaraz went 2-0 at the No. 1 singles spot ... NM State will now hit the road for three matches in Texas next weekend ... the Aggies will face Stephen F. Austin on Friday, Rice on Saturday and Texa A&M-Corpus Christi on Sunday.

SEATTLE U
Seattle U went 0-2 last weekend, falling to Utah State and Gonzaga by identical 6-1 scores ... Sarah Lucas and Gabriella Weissmann picked up Seattle’s two points on the week ... this week, Seattle U is off ... the Redhawks will be back in action on March 8 when they host Arizona.

TEXAS-PAN AMERICAN
The Broncs went 3-0 on the weekend, defeating Valparaiso, Chicago State and Detroit-Mercy ... Didi Fatchikova, a sophomore from Sofia, Bulgaria was 6-0 combined in singles and doubles over the weekend ... Fatchikova picked up three straight-set wins at the No. 1 singles spot with wins over Valparaiso’s Kaitlyn Hamel (6-1, 6-0), Chicago State’s Kirsa Utech (6-2, 6-1) and South Dakota State’s Florencia Magni (6-2, 6-4) ...  Fatchikova and her doubles partner, Mariana Ranzahuer, are on a four-match win streak in doubles competition and they are 5-2 overall ... the Broncs have won four matches in a row, their longest win streak since the 2007-08 season ... this week, UTPA hosts Grand Canyon and Texas A&M University-Kingsville on Friday for a doubleheader, and Kansas City on Sunday.

WAC TOURNAMENT TO BE HELD IN LAS CRUCES
The 2014 WAC Tennis Tournament will be held April 25-27 in Las Cruces, N.M.  The WAC conference championship will be up for grabs, as last year’s champions, San Jose State, has since departed the WAC.
