Chicago State 81, Kansas City 74
CHICAGO –(CSU Media Relations) Thanks to a 27-of-32 performance from the free throw line, Chicago State men's basketball finished a season-series sweep of Kansas City by defeating the Roos 81-74 in a Western Athletic Conference contest at the Jones Convocation Center on Saturday (Feb. 8).
In the previous meeting between the two clubs it was senior Quinton Pippen (Hamburg, Ark./Hamburg) making the game-winning basket with less than two seconds remaining. On Saturday, Pippen was again a main reason for the victory. He finished with a career-high 28 points on 7-of-10 shooting. He made 5-of-6 3-point attempts and was a perfect 9-of-9 from the free throw line. He also added two steals an assist and committed just one turnover.

Grand Canyon 79, Bakersfield 70
Phoenix-(GCU Media Relations) Behind a signature strong second half, the Grand Canyon University men's basketball team (12-11, 7-3) overcame a 20-point deficit to defeat visiting Bakersfield (9-14, 2-7) in a Western Athletic Conference game in front of a sellout crowd at GCU Arena. The Antelopes responded to a sluggish first half by shooting 54.2 percent (13-for-24) and outscoring the Roadrunners 47-29 in the final 20 minutes to cement the 79-70 win.
The game was eerily similar to the first meeting between the two squads, when GCU found themselves down by 10 points at halftime, but outscored the 'Runners 42-29 over the final 20 minutes to win at Bakersfield.

Idaho 70, Texas-Pan American 63 (OT)
MOSCOW, Idaho –(UI Media Relations) The Idaho men’s basketball team put up some ugly statistics in the box score but added a check in the “W” column with a 70-63 overtime victory over Texas-Pan American on Saturday night.
Idaho (10-14, 4-6 Western Athletic Conference) shot just 32 percent from the field in the first half, committed a season-high 21 turnovers and missed its first 12 3-point attempts, but made up for it by shooting 54.5 percent after halftime -- including a 70 percent clip inside the arc – and grabbing a season-high 50 rebounds while holding UTPA shooters to a 35 percent clip for the game.

New Mexico State 92, Seattle U 77
SEATTLE –(NMSU Media Relations) Red shirt junior center Tshilidzi Nephawe posted a career-high 22 points to lead the New Mexico State men’s basketball team to a 92-77 win over Seattle U, Saturday, Feb. 8 in Key Arena. The Aggies are now 18-8 on the year and 7-3 in Western Athletic Conference play. Seattle U falls to 11-11 overall and 3-6 in league play.
Nephawe went 10-of-14 (71.4%) from the field and hit 2-of-3 free throws while grabbing a team-high eight rebounds. He also added two blocks and had one steal on the defensive side of the court while playing 37 minutes. Five other Aggies scored in double figures with junior Daniel Mullings putting in 16, junior DK Eldridge scoring 15, and junior KC Ross-Miller adding 13.
