DENVER – Grand Canyon’s Mark Geddes and Kansas City’s Susan Kirschenman have been named the Western Athletic Conference Golfers of the Week for March 3-9.
Geddes, a senior from Cheshire, England (Calday Grange Grammar), led the Antelopes after tying for 12th of 64 competitors at the Del Walker Intercollegiate last week. Following two rounds, Geddes was tied for 10th after a strong second round that saw him card a 3-under par 67. In that round, he collected five birdies. Geddes finished the tournament with 10 birdies, which tied him for the fifth-most at the event.
Kirschenman, a senior from Huxley, Iowa (Senior HS), shot three-straight rounds in the 70’s to shoot a 19-over par 232 at the Rio Verde Invitational in Rio Verde, Ariz. The three-round score tied her for 28th place out of the 93 golfers in the tournament.
