Northern Colorado 9, Nebraska 2

LINCOLN, Neb. –(NC Media Relations) The Northern Colorado baseball team put together all three facets of the game on Wednesday, recording a season-high 15 hits, playing fantastic defense and allowing just two runs in a 9-2 win at Nebraska to split the series.

The 15 hits are the most since the Bears (5-13) recorded 19 in a seven-inning win at NYIT on May 17, 2013.

#23 Texas A&M 6, Texas-Pan American 2

COLLEGE STATION – The University of Texas-Pan American Broncs baseball team dropped the series finale 6-2 to the No. 25 Texas A&M University Aggies on Wednesday at Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park.

The Aggies (12-5) got the scoring started in the bottom of the first against starter Matt Daniels. Patrick McLendon got aboard with a one-out triple and then came across to score on a wild pitch. Later in the inning, Mitchell Nau delivered an RBI single that allowed Hunter Melton to score making it 2-0.

Seattle U 5, Portland 4

SEATTLE-(SU Media Relations) Seattle University received the timely hitting it was missing in the previous game, scoring a single run in four of the final five innings to complete a come-from-behind 5-4 victory over the University of Portland Wednesday afternoon in collegiate baseball action at Bannerwood Park.

Gonzaga 5, Bakersfield 4

BAKERSFIELD, Calif.-- Bakersfield hosted Gonzaga at Hardt Fieldon Wednesday night. The Bulldogs came from behind for a 4-3 win over the ‘Runners.

Head Coach Bill Kernan gave the nod to freshman pitcher Alec Daily (Temecula, Calif., Great Oak HS) for his first collegiate start. The California native pitched five consecutive scoreless innings before getting into trouble in the sixth and seventh.
