CHICAGO –(CSU Media Relations) Chicago State baseball earned the program's first ever win at new Cougar Stadium on Wednesday (March 19) as the Cougars took down city-rival UIC 14-12.
"It was a good win for the program," Chicago State head coach Steve Joslyn said. "UIC is a good team. They've played a quality schedule including a trip to Vanderbilt, so today was a good win for us."
Junior Jordan Stroschein (Marion, Iowa/Linn-Mar) recorded six RBI, including a three-run home run in the bottom of the eighth inning. He helped the Cougars hold a comfortable lead for the majority of the contest before UIC scored eight runs in the top of the ninth inning.

UNLV 16, North Dakota 6
LAS VEGAS--(UND Media Relations) Host UNLV used a pair of big innings to post a 16-6 non-conference win over North Dakota Wednesday evening. The Rebels scored seven in each of the third and seventh innings in the win.
"We gave up two big innings and it's hard enough to overcome one much less two," UND head coach Jeff Dodson said. "They strung a lot of things together during those innings and we didn't do a good job working out of it.
