Weber State 5, Utah Valley 4
The Wolverines gave up four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to fall 5-4 to Weber State in the first half of a twinbill Wednesday. Dynasty Lauvai was 2-for-4 with a pair of homers, while Jamie North drove in the other two Utah Valley runs. Dara Rahm suffered the loss, allowing one run on one hit in one third of an inning. Starter Josi Summers allowed four runs on four hits with three strikeouts over six innings.
Weber State 12, Utah Valley 4 (6)
The Wolverines scored all four of their runs in the top of the first inning and led through four innings before allowing eight runs in the bottom of the sixth in a 12-4 loss in the nightcap to fall to 7-18 on the year. Brianna Gatlin drove in two runs, while Amanda Robinson and Hailey Kofler had one RBI each. Summers took the loss in the circle, allowing six runs on six hits over 3.2 innings to fall to 4-9 on the year.
Missouri State 3, Kansas City 0
The Kangaroos were shut out 3-0 by Missouri State in the first game of a doubleheader at the Missouri 3&2 Complex Wednesday. Bri Wyatt and Kristi Lee got the two Kansas City hits in the game. Katie Kelley suffered the loss, allowing three runs on six hits while striking out four and walking four.
Missouri State 4, Kansas City 2
In the nightcap, the 'Roos took an early lead, but fell 4-2 to the Bears to drop to 9-16 on the season. Cinda Ramos had both Kansas City hits, a double and a single. Kenzie Flaws suffered the loss in the circle, allowing three runs on four hits over 2.2 innings. Ramos threw 4.1 innings in relief, allowing one run on five hits with four strikeouts.
New Mexico 4, New Mexico State 3
The Aggies committed a pair of errors in a 4-3 loss to instate rival New Mexico Wednesday to drop to 17-15 on the year. Staci Rodriguez was 2-for-4 with a solo homer and two RBI, while Lacey Rother drove in the other New Mexico State run. Makayla McAdams suffered the loss, allowing two runs on three hits in one inning of work to fall to 6-3 on the seaoson.
