New Mexico State 9, Seattle U 3
The Aggies out-hit Seattle U 11-6 en route to a 9-3 win over the Redhawks in the first game of a twinbill Saturday.

Fiana Finau was 3-for-3 with a solo homer, while Brennalyn Nakamura was 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI. Malena Padilla was 2-for-4 with a double and three RBI, while Tatum Reedy was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI.

Makayla McAdams earned the win in the circle, allowing two earned runs on three hits over five innings. She struck out two and walked three and improved to 7-3 on the season.

Lindsay Davis took the loss, allowing eight runs, only four of which were earned, over 3.2 innings to drop to 4-6 on the season.

New Mexico State 10, Seattle U 2 (5)
Karysta Donisthorpe threw a one-hitter to lead the Aggies to a 10-2 five-inning win in the nightcap to improve to 21-15 on the season and 3-0 in WAC play. With the loss, Seattle U falls to 11-23 overall and 0-3 in the WAC.

Donisthorpe allowed two runs on one hit, struck out seven and walked two over five innings to improve to 8-7 on the season. Lacey Rother was 4-for-4 with three doubles and four RBI, while Alyssa Ruiz was 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBI.

Richelle Ashburn suffered the loss, falling to 2-4 on the season. She allowed six runs on nine hits and walked four over four innings.


Utah Valley 9, at Bakersfield 4

The Wolverines used a six-run third inning to defeat Bakersfield 9-4 in the first game of a doubleheader Saturday.

Dynasty Lauvai was 3-for-3 with a three-run homer and four RBI, while Morgan Summers, Amanda Robinson and Kelli Fox drove in one run each. Kelsie Lawton earned the win in relief, her first victory of the season. She allowed one run on two hits and struck out one over 3.2 innings.

Lyndsay Klimenko suffered the loss, falling to 1-6 on the year. She allowed seven runs on three hits with four strikeouts and six walks over 2.1 innings.

Utah Valley 4, Bakersfield 3
In the nightcap, the Roadrunners' rally came up short, as they scored three runs and stranded the tying run in a 4-3 loss to Utah Valley. With the win, the Wolverines improve to 10-19 overall and 3-0 in the WAC. Bakersfield falls to 9-28-1 on the season and 0-3 in WAC play with the loss.

Brittney Vansway hit her first career homer, finishing the game 2-for-3 with three RBI. Jamie North drove in the other Wolverine run. Josi Summers earned the complete-game win to improve to 6-10 on the year. She allowed two earned runs on six hits while striking out six.

Kelsie Monroe took the loss in the circle, allowing four runs on seven hits over 2.1 innings to drop to 7-14 on the year.

Kansas City 4, at Grand Canyon 2 (11)
Marlee Maples hit a two-run double to center field in the top of the 11th inning to give the Kangaroos a 4-2 win over Grand Canyon Saturday to close out the series. With the win, Kansas City improves to 11-25 overall and 1-2 in the WAC. The Antelopes fall to 17-16 on the season and 2-1 in WAC play with the loss.

Cinda Ramos was 5-for-6 with a pair of doubles and one RBI, while Katie Kelley hit a solo homer for the 'Roos, the only home run of the game. Kelley earned the win in the circle, improving to 6-10 on the year. She allowed one run on six hits with five strikeouts.

Taylor Nowlin suffered the loss in relief, dropping to 3-4 on the season. She allowed three runs on four hits over two innings.
