Seattle U 13, Texas-Pan American 8

Seattle, Wash.-(SU Media Relations) In a game that spanned almost 20 hours and included a rain delay, two different fields, and a halt overnight, Seattle University defeated Texas-Pan American, 13-8, in a Western Athletic Conference game that began Saturday night at Meridian Park Field in Shoreline, Wash., before concluding Sunday afternoon at Triton Field on the campus of Edmonds Community College.

After UTPA left the bases loaded in the top of the first inning, the game was delayed for 32 minutes due to a rain shower. After the game was resumed in the bottom of the first, Brian Olson (Black Diamond, Wash.) drove in Landon Cray (Chimacum, Wash.) with a double to right field to put the Redhawks on the board.

North Dakota 2, Northern Colorado 1

BISMARCK, N.D.--(UND Media Relations) Jeff Campbell won his third straight start to lift North Dakota to a 2-1 win and a three-game series sweep over Northern Colorado Sunday in Western Athletic Conference play. It marked the first series sweep of a conference opponent since UND went to NCAA Division I.

"I thought our kids really came out and played well today to give us our first conference sweep," said UND head coach Jeff Dodson. "They came out pretty loose today. We stranded way too many runners, but I was thrilled about Patrick Riewer's play this weekend and he came through for us today. "

Sacramento State 20, New Mexico State 6 (7)

LAS CRUCES, N.M. –(SAC Media Relations) An unprecedented offensive run continued for Sacramento State as the Hornets clubbed five home runs, including two grand slams from freshman Brandon Hunley and senior Will Soto, in a 20-6 win in seven innings over New Mexico State, the second straight mercy rule win for the Hornets.

Sacramento State (16-11, 6-0 WAC) outscored New Mexico State (10-17, 2-4 WAC) 39-8 over a three game sweep and is now averaging 11.2 runs per game through six WAC games, three of which have ended via the mercy rule after seven innings. The eight game winning streak for the Hornets is the longest since the 1992 team won 16 consecutive games. Sacramento State had hit four home runs through the first 20 games of the season and has hit 12 long balls over seven games since.

Grand Canyon 15, Chicago State 5

Phoenix, Ariz.-(GCU Media Relations) The Grand Canyon University baseball team (14-11, 5-1 WAC) got their first series sweep of the 2014 season in convincing fashion, winning 15-5 over Chicago State (9-12, 0-3 WAC) in a Western Athletic Conference game that was called after 7.0 innings due to the conference's 10-run rule. It was the fourth straight win for GCU.

For the second straight game and 10th time overall, the Antelopes collected double-digit hits with 16 en route to scoring a season-best 15 runs.
