Bakersfield 3, Cal State Northridge 1
BAKERSFIELD, Calif.—(CSUB Media Relations) Junior righty James Barragan (Jr., Bakersfield, Calif., Stockdale HS) tossed his first career complete game, a four-hitter, as Bakersfield (6-6) defeated Cal State Northridge (6-6) 3-1 Tuesday night at Hardt Field.
Brett Balkan’s RBI single in the top of the first gave the Matadors 1-0 lead. Barragan settled in and retired 12 Matadors in a row at one point before running into a jam in the sixth. Barragan worked his away around the Northridge threat, stranding runners at first and second.

EUGENE, Ore. –(SU Media Relations) After losing the first game of Tuesday’s doubleheader, 10-2, Seattle University depended on its bullpen to stay close in game two, but nationally-ranked Oregon was able to scratch out a run late in the nightcap for a 4-3 victory at PK Park.
Chase Fields (Ontario, Ore.) drew a walk to leadoff the first game and advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt by Landon Cray (Chimacum, Wash.). With two outs, Brian Olson (Black Diamond, Wash.) hit a grounder right up the middle into center field for a single, driving in Fields.
