UTEP 5, New Mexico State 1
New Mexico State fell 5-1 to I-10 rival UTEP on Tuesday, dropping its first game to the Miners since the 2010 season. The Aggies posted six hits in the loss, falling to 13-8 on the season.

Kelsey Dodd went 2-for-3 on the game with a pair of singles, while Devon Thomey was 2-for-4. The Aggies' lone run came off the bat of reigning WAC Hitter of the Week Staci Rodriguez, who hit a solo homer in the top of the sixth inning.

In the circle, Karysta Donisthorpe worked three innings and took the loss, walking four with four strikeouts. Celisha Walker entered in the top of the fourth to pitch four straight strikeouts and finish the game with five.
