Wichita State 12, Kansas City 4 (5)
Cinda Ramos belted her first home run of the season and seven different players reached base with a hit, but the offensive output wasn’t enough for Kansas City to overcome five errors in a 12-4 five-inning loss to Wichita State in the first game of the Wichita State Tournament Thursday night.
Ramos was one of two Kangaroos with multiple hits in the game, driving in two runs. Brooke Parker was 2-for-3 and scored two runs.
Katie Kelley suffered the loss in the circle, allowing seven earned runs on eight hits while striking out six over 3.1 innings.
