Utah Valley 3, Sacred Heart 2 (8)
The Wolverines picked up their first win of the season Saturday, defeating Sacred Heart in eight innings at the Rebel Spring Games. Brittney Vansway drove in a pair of runs, while Brianna Gatlin hit an RBI single in the top of the eighth to plate the winning run. Josi Summers earned the win in the circle, allowing one earned run on seven hits, while striking out seven over 7.2 innings of work.

Utah Valley 9, Manhattan 8 (8)
Later in the day, the Wolverines defeated Manhattan 3-2, also in eight innings, to improve to 2-13 on the season. Hailey Kofler hit a pair of homers, driving in three runs, while Gatlin was 2-for-4 with two RBI, including the RBI single in the bottom of the eighth inning to give Utah Valley the win. Dara Rahm earned the win in the circle, allowing one hit and striking out five over 3.1 innings.
 
Bakersfield 4, UNLV 1
The Roadrunners ended a string of 14 straight losses with a 4-1 win over UNLV at the UCLA/CSUN Invitational Saturday. Sydney Raeber, Jessica Castaneda, Amber Mills and Karsyn Guzman had one RBI apiece for Bakersfield. Kelsie Monroe earned the win, allowing one run on six hits and striking out four over six innings.

Bakersfield 4, Charleston Southern 3
Later in the day, the 'Runners defeated Charleston Southern 4-3. Raeber hit a two-RBI double, while Amy Ricciardi and Karsyn Guzman drove in one run apiece. Monroe earned the win in relief, allowing one unearned run and striking out four over 4.2 innings.

New Mexico State 3, Northern Colorado 2
Susie Chandler's solo homer in the bottom of the fourth proved to be the difference as the Aggies defeated Northern Colorado 3-2 at the Jeannine McHaney Classic Saturday. Fiana Finau was 2-for-3 with one RBI, while Lacey Rother and Chandler also had two hits each. Celisha Walker earned the win in relief, scattering four hits and striking out two over 3.1 innings.

Grand Canyon 3, Oregon State 0
The Antelopes blanked Oregon State 3-0 in their first game of the UCLA/CSUN Invitational Saturday. Stephanie Smith drove in two runs on a triple, while Camree Wartman had an RBI single to account for the other run. Stephanie Pesqueira threw a complete-game four-hitter, striking out two.

Cal State Northridge 8, Grand Canyon 1
Later in the day, the 'Lopes fell 8-1 to host Cal State Northridge. Kayla Henry was 2-for-3 and drove in the lone Grand Canyon run, while Lauren Regester was the only other Antelope with two hits on the game.

UC Santa Barbara 2, Seattle U 0
The Redhawks fell 2-0 to UC Santa Barbara in their first game of the Nevada Classic Saturday. Isabella Geronimo, Brianna Guerrero, Bubba Morrow and Lisa Maulden had one hit each in the loss.

Nevada 10, Seattle U 2 (6)
Later in the day, the Redhawks fell 10-2 in six innings to host Nevada. Morrow drove in the two Seattle U runs with a two-run homer.
