The Roadrunners stranded nine runners in a 5-0 shutout to Cal State Northridge in the first half of a doubleheader Wednesday at the Roadrunner Softball Complex.
Jessica Castaneda had two hits, including a double, while Karsyn Guzman also tallied two hits in the loss.
Starter Kelsie Monroe took the loss in the circle, dropping to 8-16 on the season. She allowed three runs on five hits over two innings, striking out two and walking one. Lyndsay Klimenko threw five innings, giving up one earned run on five hits with three strikeouts and three walks.

The 'Runners shut out the Matadors in the nightcap 3-0 to improve to 11-31-1 on the season.
Sydney Raeber had the only extra-base hit in the game, a double to right centerfield in the bottom of the first inning. Madison Bundy, Kara Frankhouser and Kayli Shaw drove in one run each.
Amber Mills earned the win in the circle to improve to 2-4 on the season. She scattered four hits, struck out four and walked four over 5.1 innings. Monroe earned the save, her first of the season. She threw 1.2 hitless innings, walking three and striking out one.

The Redhawks fell 1-0 to Portland State Wednesday at Erv Lind Stadium in the first half of a twinbill.
Isabella Geronimo had two of Seattle U's three hits in the game. Hayley Beckstrom was 1-for-2 on the game.
Richelle Ashburn suffered the loss in the circle, allowing one run on four hits over six innings. She struck out seven and walked one.

In the nightcap, the Redhawks gave up three unanswered runs to fall 4-3 and drop to 13-27 on the season.
Lisa Maulden was 2-for-2 with a run scored and a double, while Bubba Morrow drove in one run.
