Utah 6, Utah Valley 2
Utah Valley dropped the first game of a doubleheader 6-2 to Utah Monday at Wolverine Field.

Kelli Fox and Morgan Summers had two hits each in the loss, while Dara Rahm and Erin Romero drove in one run apiece.

Starter Josi Summers suffered the loss in the circle to fall to 6-14 on the season. She gave up three runs on five hits over three innings. Bailey Moore threw four innings in relief, allowing three runs on four hits. She struck out three and walked three.

The Wolverines fell 8-1 to the Utes in the nightcap, despite matching Utah's eight hits in the. With the loss, Utah Valley drops to 12-28 on the year.

Megan Peay accounted for the Wolverine run in the game with her first home run of the season. Debra Lovell and Rahm had two hits each in the loss.

Moore took the loss in the circle, dropping to 1-6 on the season. She allowed six runs, only four of which were earned, on eight hits with one strikeout and one walk over six innings.
