TEAM RECAPS
Bakersfield Roadrunners  

Bakersfield competed at the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational on April 11 ... Richard Maestre finished 400-meter hurldes in 54.94, a time good enough to move him from 19th to 18th in the Bakersfield All-Time Top 20 list ... Max Fagan finished the 400m hurldes in a time of 55.86, which was good enough for 15th out of 44 runners ...  Ariana Mariscal lowered her collegiate-best time in the 800m ... the freshman crossed the finish line with a time of 2:13.91, which improved her personal record by nearly a second and a half ... the women’s 4 x 100m relay team of Marina Emhoff, Erica Wilcox, Dominique Alexander and Alyssa Page finished second overall and first among the collegiate teams with a time of 47.51 ... this week, the ‘Runners will travel to the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, Calif. on Friday.

Chicago State Cougars
CSU competed at the Chicagoland Outdoor Championships from April 10-12 ... both the men and the women placed eighth out of 20 teams at the meet ... senior Pearl Chitava finished third in the 100 meter dash, recording a time of 12.13 ... freshman Zhate Jackson turned in a second place performance in the 200m (24.78). ... Jackson also scored points in the 400m, finishing fourth (1:01.55) ... the Chicago State men won the 4x100m relay with a time of 42.43 ... the women also had a nice showing in the 4x100m relay team combined for a second place finish with a time of 48.34 ... senior Samuel McKinney set a school record in the javelin, finishing second with a toss of 56.36 meters ... this week, the Cougars travel to Edwardsville, Ill. for the SIUE Invitational on Saturday.

Grand Canyon ‘Lopes
GCU competed at the UTEP Invitational on April 12 in El Paso, Texas ... Vanessa Levy broke her own school record in the shot put, recording a second-place heave of 13.78 meters, which is the third-best mark in the WAC ... Tyler Vandyke snapped the school record in the men’s 1500m, posting a time of 3:59.26 ... Moya McKenzie raced to a first-place finish in the 400m, clocking a time of 53.86, the fastest time in the conference ... Andrea Olstead jumped to a season-best distance of 5.56 meters in the long jump, which is the second-best mark in the conference ... Jennifer Rolph cleared a WAC-best height of 4.00 meters in the pole vault ... this weekend, the GCU athletes who have qualified for the Mt. SAC Relays will compete at the two-day meet in Walnut, Calif., with the rest of the squad in action at the Beach Invitational in Long Beach, Calif. on Friday.

Idaho Vandals  
The Vandals competed with a split squad last weekend, half at the Sun Angel Classic in Tempe, Ariz., and the other half at War VII in Spokane, Wash. ... junior Matt Sullivan vaulted to a height of 17-7 (5.36m) in the premiere section of the pole vault, moving him into second-best all-time at Idaho and first in the WAC so far this season ... senior Alycia Butterworth added a victory with a time of 10:27.32 in the 3000m steeplechase, and senior teammate Holly Stanton Browning followed in second with a time of 10:59.22 ... Butterworth’s time ranks first in the WAC so far this season ... freshman Adara Winder took the second-place spot in the shot put with a heave of 47-1 (14.35m) ... this week, the Vandals will compete on Thursday at both the CSULA Twilight Open in Los Angeles, Calif. and the Whitworth Twilight Invite at Spokane, Wash., and select athletes will compete Thursday-Saturday at  Mt. Sac Relays at Walnut, Calif.

Kansas City Kangaroos
Kansas City competed at the Missouri Relays on April 12 ...  Dahlia Dyson finished fifth in the shot put with a mark of 13.67m, moving her into second place all-time at UMKC, and placed eighth in the hammer throw at 48.30m ... sophomore Kelsey Benoit placed fifth in the hammer throw with a personal best toss of 50.42m, improving upon her fifth best throw in school history ... on the men’s side, sophomore Blake Hocking placed third in the shot put with a throw of 16.07 meters ... Shanelle Williams placed fourth in the 100 meter hurdles in a time of 13.92, just .01 off her own school record, and eighth in the 100 meter dash with a personal best time of 12.08 ... this week, the ‘Roos head to Walnut, Calif., for the Mt. SAC Relays from Thursday-Saturday and to Lawrence, Kan., for the Kansas Relays on Wednesday-Saturday.

New Mexico State Aggies
The Aggies are coming off the UTEP Invitational on April 12, where junior Diana Hawk led the team by winning the 1500-meter run with a time of 4:40.63 ... junior Megan McNally and senior Sarabel Bojorquez also ran the 1500-meter run where they finished second and third, respectively ... in the 100-meter dash, senior Alishia Perkins finished fifth with a time of 11.92 and she was followed by junior Jenna Banegas in sixth with a time of 12.00 ... Banegas also competed in the 200m where she finished fourth with a time of 24.43 ... freshman Akuadasou Ezenyilimba competed in the hammer throw, discus and shot put for the Aggies ... her top finish came in the hammer throw where she finished third with a throw of 48.36m ... this week, the Aggies travel to San Antonio, Texas to compete at the UTSA Invitational on Saturday.

Seattle University Redhawks
The Redhawks travelled to Spokane Falls Community College for the WAR VII meet from April 11-12 ... SU claimed the men’s and women’s team titles ... Alessandra Gonzales won the 100-meter dash with a school-record time of 12.22 seconds ... Katie Tougas, the previous holder of the school record, posted a time of 12.37 seconds, finishing third in the event ... in the men’s hammer throw, Devon Walker posted a mark of 45.80 meters, 3/10ths of a meter further than the previous mark set two years ago ... Dylan Burnett won the javelin throw with a top mark of 66.66m, while Malaki Seanoa finished third with a mark of 58.41m ... this week, SU will have athletes at four meets; the Mt. Sac Relays (Thursday-Saturday), the Bryan Clay Invitational (Friday-Saturday), the Oregon Relays (Friday-Saturday) and the Beach Invitational (Saturday).

Texas-Pan American Broncs
The Broncs competed at the UIW Cardinal Invitational on April 11 in San Antonio, Texas ... the Broncs took the top three spots in both the men’s and women’s hammer throw, while also adding 12 top-five finishes on the final day of the meet ... freshman Javier Carretero won the men’s hammer throw with a mark of 57.25 meters, which ranks second in program history ... junior Jasmine Davison won the women’s hammer throw with a career-best throw of 53.76m ... junior Leocajuan Williams won the women’s triple jump with a mark of 11.50m ... this week the Broncs make their annual west coast trip as they travel to California for the Cal State LA Twilight Open on Thursday, the Mount Sac Relays from Thursday-Saturday and the Long Beach State Invite on Friday.

Utah Valley Wolverines
The Wolverines competed at the Utah Spring Classic on April 11 and the Weber State Invitational on April 12 ... at the Utah meet, Michael McPherson took home the 200m dash title with a time of 21.42 seconds ... the Wolverine junior also placed second in the long jump with a leap of 7.17m ... freshman hurdler Kyler Sprague finished second in the 400m hurdles with a time of 51.81 seconds and sixth in the 110m hurdles (14.80) ... at the Weber State meet, freshman thrower McKay Burnett took fifth in the men’s hammer throw with a toss of 49.89m ... sophomore jumper Scott Moake earned a sixth-place finish in the high jump by clearing 2.00m ... this week, the Wolverines will compete in three meets; the Mt. SAC Relays from Wednesday-Saturday, the Bryan Clay Invite on Thursday and the Beach Invite on Friday.
