South Dakota 2, Kansas City 1
The Kangaroos gave up a two-run homer in the top of the first inning and fell 2-1 to South Dakota in the first half of a twinbill Tuesday afternoon at the Missouri 3&2 Complex.

Katie Kelley hit a solo homer in the bottom of the fifth inning to account for Kansas City's only run in the game.

Cinda Ramos suffered the loss in the circle, falling to 5-10 on the season. She allowed two runs on seven hits, striking out two and walking two.

Kansas City 8, South Dakota 2
In the nightcap, the 'Roos led throughout in an 8-2 victory over the Coyotes. With the win, Kansas City improves to 14-31 on the season.

Caitlin Christopher was 2-for-3 with a triple and four RBI. Kelley hit another home run, her eighth of the year. Ramos and Bri Wyatt drove in one run each.

Kelley earned the complete-game win in the circle, improving to 8-14 on the year. She gave up two runs on six hits with five strikeouts and two walks.

Idaho State 8, Utah Valley 7
The Wolverines rallied to take a 7-5 lead in the middle innings before the Idaho State got a walk-off single to win 8-7 in a single game Tuesday Miller Ranch Stadium. With the loss, Utah Valley drops to 12-29 on the year.

Amanda Robinson hit two homers, her fourth and fifth of the season, to pace Utah Valley. Brittney Vansway hit a solo homer, while Debra Lovell drove in two runs.

Bailey Moore suffered the loss in relief to fall to 1-7 on the season. She gave up three runs, two earned, on six hits with four strikeouts and three walks over 3.2 innings. Starter Josi Summers threw 2.2 innings, allowing four earned runs on six hits. She struck out two and waled three batters.
