Grand Canyon 7, New Mexico State 1
The Antelopes belted 12 hits in a 7-1 win over New Mexico State in the first half of a twinbill Friday at Stapleton-Pierson Field.

Kayla Henry led Grand Canyon with three hits and one RBI, while Camree Wartman had a two-run homer and Lauren Regester drove in two runs.

Alyssa Ruiz drove in the Aggies' lone run in the loss.

Stephanie Pesqueira picked up the complete-game win in the circle to improve to 12-7 on the year. She gave up one run on four hits and had six strikeouts.

Karysta Donisthorpe suffered the loss to fall to 10-9 on the year. She allowed seven runs, six of which were earned, on 12 hits. She had one strikeout and one walk in the loss.

Grand Canyon 2, New Mexico State 0
The 'Lopes shut out the Aggies 2-0 in the nightcap to move into first place in the WAC standings. Grand Canyon improves to 24-17 overall and 9-2 in the WAC with the victory. New Mexico State drops to 26-18 on the season and 8-3 in WAC play with the loss.

GCU broke a scoreless tie in the bottom of the fourth when Henry led off with a triple and scored on a Kelsey Barak single. Later in the inning, Nicole Newbury hit a sacrifice fly to score Barak.

Taylor Nowlin earned the shutout victory to improve to 5-4 on the season. She scattered three hits, striking out six and walking three.

Makayla McAdams suffered the loss to drop to 9-4 on the year. She gave up one earned run on five hits with two strikeouts and one walk.

Seattle U 4, Bakersfield 3

The Redhawks picked up their first WAC road win of the season, defeating Bakersfield 4-3 at the Roadrunner Softball Complex Friday. With the victory, Seattle U improves to 16-28 on the season and 5-5 in the WAC. Bakersfield drops to 11-35-1 overall and 1-9 in WAC play.

Lisa Maulden paced the Redhawks with three RBI, while Isabella Geronimo was 2-for-3 and drove in one run.

Jessica Castaneda and Amber Mills both had doubles to lead the Roadrunners, who stranded 11 runners in the loss.

Lindsay Davis picked up the win in the circle to improve to 8-6 on the year. She threw 4.2 scoreless innings, giving up five hits and striking out one. Alyssa Reuble earned her fourth save of the season, giving up three runs on two hits over 2.1 innings. She had one strikeout and two walks.

Lyndsay Klimenko suffered the loss, falling to 1-8 on the season. She allowed four runs on nine hits over seven innings, striking out three and walking one.

Utah Valley 6, Kansas City 4
The Wolverines defeated Kansas City 6-4 in the first game of a doubleheader Friday at the Missouri 3&2 Complex.

Amanda Robinson was 3-for-3 with a double, a homer and two RBI. Debra Lovell was 2-for-4 and drove in one run, while Erin Romero and Dynasty Lauvai had one RBI each.

Caitlin Christopher led the Kangaroos with two RBI, while Marlee Maples had a one-run double.

Josie Summers earned the win in the circle to improve to 7-14 on the year. She gave up four runs on six hits with eight strikouts and three walks in 5.1 innings of work. Bailey Moore picked up a save, her first of the season, throwing 1.2 innings of hitless ball with four strikeouts and two walks.

Cinda Ramos suffered the loss, dropping to 6-11 on the seaosn. She allowed six runs on 10 hits and struck out 11 batters.

Kansas City 5, Utah Valley 1
In the nightcap, Christopher hit a walk-off grand slam in the bottom of the seventh to give Kansas City a 5-1 win. With the victory, the 'Roos improve to 15-33 overall and 4-7 in the WAC. The Wolverines drop to 13-30 on the season and 6-5 in WAC play.

Christopher drove in all five of the 'Roos runs, while Lovell had Utah Valley's lone RBI.

Katie Kelley picked up the win to improve to 9-14 on the season. She threw a complete game, allowing one run on three hits with three strikeouts.

Moore took the loss, dropping to 1-8 on the year. She gave up five runs, four of which were earned, on seven hits, striking out four and issuing four walks.
