WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. –(SAC Media Relations) Four Sacramento State relievers combined to throw seven scoreless innings against the No. 4 team in the country, enabling the Hornet offense to rally from an early 6-1 deficit and defeat No. 4 Oregon State, 7-6, on Monday night at Raley Field. Oregon State is believed to be the highest ranked team the Hornets have ever defeated, surpassing a win over #5 Arizona in 2005.
“Getting down early like that and seeing our guys slowly get back into it, this is a special win,” head coach Reggie Christiansen said. “I’m most proud of how we came from behind - we haven’t done that much this season. Our guys did an unbelievable job.”

Bakersfield 5, Kansas State 2
MANHATTAN, Kan.—(CSUB Media Relations) Bakersfield (16-22) rallied from a 2-0 deficit to defeat Kansas State (22-19) 5-2 Monday night.
The Wildcats opened the scoring with a run in the bottom of the first, but CSUB right fielder Chance Gusbeth (So., Lancaster, Calif., Desert Christian HS) picked up his ninth assist of the year to throw out a K-State runner at third to end the inning. Kansas State loaded the bases with two outs in the second, but ‘Runner starter Nick Rogowski (Jr., Woodbridge, Va., Cypress College) got RJ Santigate to pop out to short for the final out of the frame.
