Bakersfield 7, Cal Poly 5 (8)
The Roadrunners defeated Cal Poly 7-5 in eight innings in the first game of a doubleheader Tuesday.

Briana Pontecorvo was 2-for-3 with three RBI, while Madison Bundy was 3-for-3 with a run scored and another driven in.

Starter Lyndsay Klimenko earned the win, her third of the season. She threw the first seven innings, then reentered in the bottom of the eighth with the bases loaded to get the final two outs of the game. Klimenko allowed three earned runs on seven hits with three strikeouts in 7.2 innings of work.

In the nightcap, the 'Runners stranded 11 runners and fell 1-0 in nine innings in a game with just seven total hits.

Karissa Veiga, Amy Ricciardi and Karsyn Guzman had the three Bakersfield hits in the loss.

Kelsie Monroe suffered the loss in the circle, dropping to 9-18 on the year. She allowed one run on four hits with eight strikeouts and two walks over 8.2 innings.
