Las Cruces, N.M. - Idaho claimed the women's title at the WAC Tennis Tournament with a 4-1 victory over No. 3 New Mexico State. The Vandals dropped the first singles match of the day at the No. 6 court, but claimed the next four matches and secured the victory when Galina Bykova defeated Denise Van Der Ben on court No. 3.
The Vandals advance to the NCAA Tournament and will learn their fate on Tuesday during the selection show. This is the Vandals first women's WAC tennis title.
