Sacramento State 8, Seattle U 1
SACRAMENTO, Calif. –(SAC Media Relations) Six Hornet starters had two-hit games, including the first five batters in the lineup, and junior Brennan Leitao allowed just one run over seven innings as Sacramento State opened a three-game WAC home series vs. Seattle U with an 8-1 win.
The victory was the 10th straight for Sacramento State (18-11, 7-0 WAC), equaling the second longest winning streak in program history behind just a 16-game winning streak recorded in 1992. The Hornets also improved to 7-0 in WAC games after handing Seattle U (11-13, 3-1 WAC) its first conference loss.

New Mexico State 16, Northern Colorado 4 (8)
GREELEY, Colo. –(NMSU Media Relations) The New Mexico State baseball team snapped five game losing streak by defeating Northern Colorado 16-4 in a Western Athletic Conference game, Friday, April 4 in Greeley, Colo. The Aggies move to 11-18 overall and 3-4 in WAC play, while UNCO falls to 5-24 on the year and 0-7 in league action.
The Aggies used a season-high 23 hits to score 16 runs with left-fielder Michael Paulson leading the offensive surge going 4-of-5 with three RBI and two runs scored. Third baseman Derek Umphres also had a 4-of-5 day at the dish with two RBI and three runs scored.

Texas-Pan American 2, Grand Canyon 1 (10)
EDINBURG –(UTPA Media Relations) Senior Sam Street pitched a 10-inning complete game and senior Alex Howe hit a walk-off single to lead the University of Texas-Pan American Broncs baseball team past the Grand Canyon University Antelopes 2-1 in 10 innings on Friday at Edinburg Baseball Stadium.
The 10 innings were a career-high for Street (7-0), who struck out eight while scattering four hits. He didn't walk anyone while throwing 83 of his 110 pitches (75.5 percent) for strikes. He retired the first five batters he faced, and then, after allowing three base runners in a span of four batters, retired nine-straight, 19 of the next 20, and 25 of the final 27 batters he faced.

#29 Oklahoma 4, Bakersfield 2
NORMAN, Okla.-(CSUB Media Relations) The Bakersfield Roadrunners took advantage of early Oklahoma miscues plating two runs through the first five innings but a big seventh inning by the Sooners was enough to hold off CSUB in a 4-2 win Friday night at L. Dale Mitchell Park.
The Roadrunners took a 1-0 lead following an Allen Gwynn (R-Sr., Santa Paula, Calif., Ventura CC) ball that was hit to deep right field but dropped by Oklahoma’s Hunter Haley. The two-base error set the table for Max Carter (Fr., Bakersfield, Calif., Stockdale HS) who delivered the RBI single.
