New Mexico State 8, Kansas City 5
Despite committing four errors, the Aggies defeated Kansas City 8-5 Saturday at the Missouri 3&2 Complex to win the series. With the win, New Mexico State improves to 23-16 overall and 5-1 in the WAC. The Kangaroos drop to 12-27 on the year and 2-4 in WAC play with the loss.

Lacey Rother was 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBI, while Brennalyn Nakamura hit an RBI triple. Fiana Finau, Kelsey Dodd and Tatum Reedy drove in one run each.

Celisha Walker earned the win in relief to improve to 6-5 on the year. She allowed one run on three hits over three innings. Starter Karysta Donisthorpe gave up one run on one hit with four strikeouts in three innings of work.

Cinda Ramos led the 'Roos at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a homer and three RBI. Ramos also threw five innings, allowing three runs on eight hits. Katie Kelley took the loss, dropping to 6-12 on the seaoson. She gave up five runs, only one of which was earned, on four hits over two innings.

Utah Valley 13, Seattle U 12
In a game that featured 29 hits, Utah Valley used a four-run seventh to edge Seattle U 13-12 in the series finale Saturday at Logan Field. With the win, the Wolverines improve to 11-22 overall and 4-2 in the WAC. The Redhawks drop to 13-25 on the season and 2-4 in WAC play with the defeat.

Utah Valley had 17 hits, including five doubles and three homers on the game. Debra Lovell was 3-for-4 with a double, a pair of homers and three RBI. Erin Romero was also 3-for-4 with two doubles and three RBI. Amanda Robinson also hit a two-run homer.

Seattle U had four doubles and two long balls in the loss. Lisa Maulden led the way at the plate, going 4-for-4 with four runs and three RBI. She had two doubles and a home run on the day.

Reliever Kelsey Lawton earned the win in the circle to improve to 2-2 on the season. She allowed three earned runs on five hits with three strikeouts and three walks over 3.2 innings. Starter Josi Summers threw 3.1 innings, giving up five earned runs on seven hits. She walked four and struck out three.

Richelle Ashburn took the loss, falling to 2-6 on the year. She gave up three runs on three hits over one inning of work. Starting pitcher Lindsay Davis allowed six earned runs on seven hits and struck out three over four innings. Alyssa Reuble threw two innings in relief, giving up three earned runs on four hits.

Bakersfield 5, Grand Canyon 4
The Roadrunners picked up their first-ever WAC win in the first half of a doubleheader Saturday, defeating Grand Canyon 5-4.

Karissa Veiga led the 'Runners with two RBI, while Madison Bundy and Ashley Carter drove in one run each.

Kelsie Monroe earned the win in the circle, allowing three earned runs on five hits with five strikeouts over five innings. Sydney Raeber, who had one of two Bakersfield doubles in the game, earned her fourth save of the season, giving up one hit over two innings.

Kiki Sepulveda suffered the loss to fall to 1-2 on the year. She gave up one run on two hits over four innings.

Grand Canyon 4, Bakersfield 1
The Antelopes won the nightcap 4-1 to win the series. With the victory, Grand Canyon improves to 19-17 on the year and 4-2 in WAC play. Bakersfield falls to 10-30-1 on the season and 1-5 in the WAC with the loss.

Kelsey Barak hit a two-run homer, while Lauren Regester had a solo homer. Camree Wartman drove in the other Antelope run in the win.

Jessica Castaneda hit a solo home run to account for the 'Runners lone run.

Stephanie Pesqueira earned the complete-game win to improve to 10-7 on the year. She allowed one run on four hits and struck out one.

Monroe suffered the loss to fall to 8-15 on the season. She gave up two runs on four hits over 2.1 innings. Amber Mills threw 4.1 innings in relief, allowing two runs on five hits with one strikeout.
