DENVER – Chicago State’s David Keenan and Tali Letoi have been named the Western Athletic Conference Men’s and Women’s Golfers of the Week, respectively, for March 31-April 6.
Keenan, a junior from Caitlin, Ill. (Caitlin HS), became the first Chicago State men’s golfer to win an individual title since the 2005-06 season, taking medalist honors at the Beu/Mussatto Invitational. Keenan shots a three-round total of 3-over par 219 (72-75-72). He now has four top-ten finishes in eight events this season. His 77.2 scoring average is the fourth-lowest season score in Chicago State history.
Tali Letoi, a freshman from Lakeside, Calif. (El Capitan HS) shot a two-round score of 155 (75-80) to finish in a tie for 15th at the IPFW Spring Classic last week. The first round score of 75 marks her lowest score of her career and the two-round total of 155 is a 36-hole career low.
