The Kangaroos were one-hit in a 5-0 loss to Kansas Tuesday at the Missouri 3&2 Complex. Kansas City had eight strikeouts in the defeat.
Bri Waytt had the 'Roos only hit, a single to left field in the bottom of the seventh inning.
Katie Kelley suffered the loss, dropping to 6-13 on the season. She gave up five runs on nine hits while striking out four and walking three over six innings. Cinda Ramos threw one scoreless inning, giving up one hit and striking out two.
Brigham Young 9, Utah Valley 0 (5)
Utah Valley was held without a hit against crosstown rival Brigham Young Tuesday, falling 9-0 in five innings at Wolverine Field. The Cougars used three pitchers to complete the feat as Utah Valley suffered its second no-hitter of the season.
Only four of BYU's nine runs were earned as UVU ended the game with a season-high five errors. Josi Summers took the loss in the circle, allowing three earned runs in 2/3 innings pitched. Kelsey Lawton threw the other 4 1/3 innings, giving up four runs, one earned, on six hits. She struck out one and walked one.
