Utah Valley to Face Top-Seeded Oregon in NCAA Regional 5/12/2014 12:00:00 AM Utah Valley to Face Top-Seeded Oregon in NCAA Regional Utah Valley, which won the WAC Softball Tournament as the No. 4 seed, will represent the conference in the NCAA Championship as the Wolverines will travel to Eugene, Ore., for the Eugene Regional.Utah Valley (18-40) will face No. 1 overall seed Oregon (49-7-1) this Friday, May 16. Albany (33-11) will face Wisconsin (34-18) on the other side of the bracket in the double elimination regional.The Wolverines are led by WAC Tournament MVP Josi Summers, who went 3-0 with a save and held opponents to a .135 batting average over 21.2 innings in four tournament games. She finished the tournament with a 1.62 ERA and 10 strikeouts.Oregon is led by Courtney Ceo, who boasts a .481 batting average as one of eight Ducks that hit .300 or better. Pitcher Cheridan Hawkins is 30-4 with a 1.56 ERA.
