#11 Washington 6, Seattle U 0

Seattle, Wash.-(SU Media Relations) Seattle University allowed fifth-ranked Washington to take the early lead, and the Huskies never let the Redhawks back into the game in Tuesday’s 6-0 victory in a non-conference collegiate baseball game at Husky Ballpark.

Seattle U starting pitcher Skyler Genger (Kent, Wash.) was not as effective as in his previous appearance against the Huskies, beginning when he hit leadoff batter Braden Bishop with his first pitch of the game. Bishop stole second, advanced to third on a bunt single by Andrew Ely, and scored on a single by Robert Pehl. After Brian Wolfe advanced both runners into scoring position with a sacrifice bunt, Trevor Mitsui laced a double into left-center field, scoring both Ely and Pehl to increase Washington’s lead to 3-0.
