WAC Women's Track and Field Athletes of the Week Announced

DENVER – Idaho’s Alycia Butterworth and Tayler Feinauer have been named the Western Athletic Conference women’s track and field Athletes of the Week, respectively, for April 28-May 4.

Butterworth, a senior from Parksvillie, B.C., Canada (Ballenas Secondary), improved her WAC-leading time in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Payton Jordan Invitational on May 4. Butterworth's third-place time of 10:08.64 leads the WAC, is sixth in the NCAA West Region and ranks 15th in the NCAA so far this season. This marks her third WAC Athlete of the Week honor on the season and fifth of her career.

Feinauer, a sophomore from Hillsboro, Ore. (Glencoe HS), hit a season-best mark in the javelin throw on May 2 at the OSU High Performance meet. Her fourth-place mark of 43.36 meters (142-3) leads the WAC so far this season.
