#13 Washington 8, Grand Canyon 7

Seattle, Wash.-(GCU Media Relations) A big eighth inning by sixth-ranked University of Washington (33-11-1, 19-5 Pac 12) was too much for the Grand Canyon University baseball team (25-20, 14-7 WAC) tonight in a non-conference meeting at Husky Ballpark in Seattle, Wash. The Antelopes led up until that point, when the Huskies put five runs on the board before holding off GCU in the top of the ninth.

GCU put up four runs in the third to open the scoring, and after the Huskies got on the board in the fourth, added two more in the fifth to build a 6-1 lead. However, Washington outscored the Lopes 7-1 over the final two and a half frames to get the win.
