Bakersfield Roadrunners  
Bakersfield competed at the Fresno State Bulldog Invitational on April 26 in Fresno, Calif. ... the women’s team finished the dual meet 3-3, with wins against Pacific, San José State, and Cal Poly and losses to UNLV, Cal State Northridge, and Fresno State ... the men also ended the dual meet 3-3, beating Pacific, SJSU, and UNLV and losing to Cal State Northridge, Cal Poly, and Fresno St. ... junior Alyssa Page improved her personal record in the 400m, shaving .02 of a second off of her best time in the 400m with a time of 56.78 ... Page’s performance is the fifth-fastest time in the WAC ... Karnell Grimes highlighted the day for the men’s team as the thrower earned a first place finish in the javelin ... CSUB is off until the WAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships from May 14-17 in Orem, Utah.

Chicago State Cougars
Chicago State sent men’s and women’s relay teams to the Drake Relays from April 24-26 ... the women’s team of Zhate Jackson, Pearl Chitava, Summer Allen and Shaquilla Jackson placed 10th in the 4x200-meter relay and 21st in the 4x100 ... on the men’s side, the 4x100 team took 29th, the 4x200 took 13th and the sprint medley relay team took 21st ... the Cougars were scheduled to attend the Rock Chalk Classic in Lawrence, Kan., on May 3, but the meet was cancelled ... the Cougars are not scheduled to compete again until the 2014 WAC Outdoor Track Championships in Orem, Utah, hosted by Utah Valley University from May 14-17.

Grand Canyon ‘Lopes
Grand Canyon competed at the adidas/Steve Scott Invitational over the weekend in Irvine, Calif. ... senior sprinter Lance Parker was the fastest NCAA competitor in the 200-meter dash, clocking a time of 21.35 seconds ... Tyler Vandyke garnered a first-place finish in the 5,000m, recording a time of 14:46.58 ... Brandon Kocmoud shattered the school record in the 1,500m after finishing with a time of 3:54.70 ... Daniel Zupeuc cleared a season-best height of 5.21m in the pole vault on his way to taking first in the event ... Shavine Hodges and Samantha Bogatz finished second in the 100m and 200m, respectively. ... Moya McKenzie and Vanessa Levy also posted a second-place finish in the 400m and discus, respectively ... Kelsi Klotter broke the school record in the 5,000m, crossing the line in a time of 18:20.15 ... the Lopes will be idle until the WAC Outdoor Championships in Orem, Utah, from May 14-17.

Idaho Vandals  
The Vandals competed last week at the Oregon State High Performance Meet at Corvallis, Ore., and at the Payton Jordan Invitational at Palo Alto, Calif. ... Emmanuel Panchol added the first victory of the day with a wind-aided mark of 47-5.25 (14.46m) in the triple jump, junior Ben Ayesu-Attah claimed the second victory over the meet in the 400m with a time of 48.11 and junior Cody Helbling added the third victory over the meet with a time of 14:45.14 in the 5,000m ... junior Jesse Villines took the third place spot in the 110m hurdles with a wind-aided time of 14.86 ... sophomore Tayler Feinauer finished fourth in the javelin throw with a mark of 142-3 (43.36m) ... Alycia Butterworth placed third in the 3,000m Steeplechase with a time of 10:08.64, which leads the WAC, is sixth in the NCAA West Region and ranks 15th in the NCAA so far this season ... Idaho hosts the Vandal Jamboree this week on Friday and Saturday.

Kansas City Kangaroos
Kansas City closed out the regular season on May 3 at the Twilight Classic in Little Rock, Ark. ... senior Kris Leverette broke Josh Whisman’s 12-year old mark in the hammer throw with a toss of 183-5 (55.92m) to place third ... Leverette added two more personal bests with throws of 42-11.75 (13.10m) in the shot put and 144-8 (44.09m) in the discus, placing fifth and fourth in the event, respectively ... sophomore Blake Hocking finished second in the shot put (55-2.75 – 16.83m) and in the discus throw (150-10 – 45.98m) ... junior Martin Williams finished third in the discus throw (149-6 – 45.56m) and fourth in the hammer throw (169-9 – 51.73m) ... Dahlia Dyson placed third in the hammer throw, the discus throw and shot put  ... the ‘Roos are off this week and will be back in action at the WAC Outdoor Championships in Orem, Utah, from May 14-17.

New Mexico State Aggies
The Aggies competed at the Don Kirby Invitational on May 2 where the team focused on staying healthy and preparing for the conference meet ... the team was led by senior Alishia Perkins who finished first in the 200m dash with a time of 23.58 and the 4x400m relay with a time of 3:47.92 ... junior Tiffany Gerber led the Aggies in the field events where she finished second in the javelin with a throw of 43.08m (141’4”) ... senior Brianna Cromartie also made a return to competition at the Don Kirby where she finished third in 200m dash with a time of 24.03, fourth in the 400m dash with a time of 55.56, and also competed in the 4x400m relay with Perkins ... this week, the Aggies had a week off from competition before traveling to Orem, Utah for the 2014 WAC Outdoor Championships from May 14-17.

Seattle University Redhawks
The Redhawks broke three school records and posted several other season-best marks at the Oregon State University High Performance Meet on May 2 ... Sophie Curatilo set a new record in the women’s 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:32.50, over 7/10ths of a second faster than the standard she set at last year’s WAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships ... he finished 11th in the women’s 1,500m invite, while Jennifer Stolle finished in 17th place in 4:38.49 ... Bethany Richards finished sixth in the women’s hammer throw with a new school record of 49.70 meters (163’ 1”), while Devon Walker posted a new school record of 47.26 meters (155’ 1”), finishing in 11th place in the men’s hammer throw ... this week, the Redhawks will stay close to home to compete in the Ken Shannon Invitational at the University of Washington on Saturday.

Texas-Pan American Broncs
 Martin Casse set a new program record in the 1,500-meter run on May 4 at the Payton Jordan Invitational at the Cobb Track and Angell Field ... Casse posted a time of 3:43.67 to finish in seventh place in the third section of the 1,500-meter run ... Casse broke his own record of 3:44.76 that he set last season at the Great West Conference Outdoor Championships and now holds the top three spots in program history after his time of 3:44.92 at the Beach Invitational on April 19 ranks third ... the Broncs are back in action at the Western Athletic Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships from May 14-17 in Orem, Utah.

Utah Valley Wolverines
The Wolverines competed in Provo, Utah for the second week in a row at the BYU Cougar Invitational ... sophomore distance runner Trac Norris broke the school record in the 1-mile run with an altitude adjusted time of 4:04.40 ... junior Michael McPherson led the way by taking home the 200m dash as well as the long jump ... sophomore Aisha Graham won the women’s 800m ... sophomore Chris Brower took the 3,000m steeplechase and fellow sophomores Mike Keith and Sam Sweet earned first-place finishes the men’s and women’s 400m dashes ... after the Weber State Invitational was cancelled, UVU will send eight of its student-athletes to Los Angeles, California, for Saturday’s Oxy Invitational, prior to hosting the 2014 WAC Outdoor Championships at the Hal Wing Track & Field from May 14-17.
