Air Force men's soccer coasted to a 2-0 win over New Hampshire Friday night at the Cadet Soccer Stadium. The Falcons improved to 2-0-2 on the season and dropped the Wildcats (2-3). The Falcons scored two minutes and 21 seconds into the match to take the early lead. Senior Scott McGillivray scored his first goal the season, taking a pass from Zachary Modly and firing a rocket from 18 yards out to the lower right post for the score.


Sacramento State 2, San Jose State 1

The San Jose State men’s soccer team tied its match at 1-1 with Sacramento State in the 55th minute, but allowed a goal just four minutes later and fell 2-1 on Friday afternoon. Sophomore Uriel Ayala played a beautiful pass into the box for freshman Greg Harte.  Harte dove and headed the ball inside the near post for a 1-1 tie at the 54:49 mark.


High Point 2, Incarnate Word 1

The University of the Incarnate Word men's soccer team dropped their first game of the High Point Classic on Friday. They lost 2-1 to the High Point Panthers. In a game where the Cardinals (0-4) outshot the Panthers (2-1-1) 13-6, UIW put together a strong performance on the road.  "The team played well enough to earn at least a draw tonight," said UIW head coach Vince Martinez.


Utah Valley 2, Gonzaga 0

Matt Gay scored a pair of second half goals to lead the Utah Valley University men’s soccer team to a 2-0 shutout homecoming victory over Gonzaga in front of a record crowd 3,209 fans Friday night at Clyde Field. The Wolverines improve to 2-2-0 overall and remain undefeated at home, while Gonzaga falls to 0-4-0 on the season.


Seattle U 2, Penn 0

Seattle University men’s soccer (3-1-0) and the University of Pennsylvania (2-1-0) remained scoreless through 75 minutes of play, but the Redhawks would break through with a pair of goals to earn the 2-0 shutout.


UNLV 1, UMBC 0

UNLV senior forward Salvador Bernal, the second-leading scorer in the nation, scored the lone goal of the game in the 23rd minute to give the Rebels a 1-0 upset victory over No. 14 UMBC in men's college soccer action on Friday night at Peter Johann Memorial Field. With the victory, which came in the UNLV Nike Invitational, the Rebels improved to 5-0 on the year, continuing their best start since 1985. The Retrievers meanwhile saw their 14-game unbeaten streak snapped, dropping to 3-1-1 on the year.
