DENVER- Grand Canyon's Iryna Glavnyk and CSU Bakersfield's Carlee Burks have been named Western Athletic Conference Women's Swimmer and Diver of the week while Grand Canyon's Iegor Lytvenok and Michael Bidak have been named the Western Athletic Conference Men's Swimmer and Diver of the week, respectively, for Oct. 5-11.

Glavnyk, a junior from Kiev, Ukraine took home three individual titles at Bakersfield over the weekend. This marks the second straight meet Glavnyk has found success at, taking home three individual titles and the title in the 200-medley relay.

Burks, a junior from Bakersfield, Calif. picked up a pair of wins on both the 1- and 3-meter boards. The Centennial High School graduate scored 235.65 points on the 1-meter to defeat GCU's Mennattalah Elmidany by less than three points. Later in the meet, Burks trounced all competitors, scoring 250.05 points on the 3-meter and winning by a 40-point margin.

Lytvenok's time in the 200 IM is an NCAA B qualifying time. It is also presently the fastest 200 IM time in DI so far this season. The time has a CollegeSwimming.com performance score of 819. The senior's time in the 200 Free is an NCAA B qualifying time. It is presently the 7th fastest time in DI so far this season. It has a CollegeSwimming.com performance score of 813. Lytvenok's time in the 200 Back has a CollegeSwimming.com performance score of 660.

Bidak finished first in both diving events in Bakersfield this weekend, earn- ing a strong 294.75 finish in the one-meter before following it up with a 283.35 win on the three-meter dive.

AIR FORCE
Air Force defeated BYU and Colorado Mesa at the Colorado Intermountain Shootout, Grand Junction,. Air Force earned its first won over BYU since 2011. Senior Michael Barnosky won three individual events.

BAKERSFIELD
For the ‘Runner women, Carlee Burks, Kelsey Lange, Dylana Milobar, and Paola Hernandez led the women in a close meet. Burks earned a wins on both boards, Lange won the 200 free, Hernandez won the 100 free, and Milobar took first in the 100 breast. Freshmen Emily Vose and Sabrina Za- vala also earned victories on Saturday, taking the 1000 and 500 freestyle races, respectively.

GRAND CANYON
The Grand Canyon University swimming and diving teams each posted first places finishes in this weekend's match against Bakersfield. The men's team won 176-122 and the women's team won 156.5-143.5. For the swimming team, GCU took the top-two slots in the 200-medley relay. Iryna Glavnyk took home three first place individual finishes at the event, while Vangelina Draganova, Rebecca Coan, and Jovanna Koens also earned top- finishes during the meet. In diving, Menna Elmidany posted the top finish for GCU in the one meter competition and fourth in the three-meter. Eliza- beth Fogel placed third in both events, while Rachel Adams also earned a second place finish in the three-meter.

NORTHERN COLORADO
This was the Swimmers' opening meet of the season - it helps the incom- ers get over college meet jitters and gets the girls into competition mode.

WAC CHAMPIONSHIP
The 2015 WAC Swimming and Diving Championship travels to Houston, Texas. The UNLV men's swim team captured the WAC title while the Northern Arizona women's team took the crown at the WAC championships last year.
