OREM, Utah - The Utah Valley women took the top three individual spots to claim the women's team title with 34 points at the 2015 WAC Cross Country Championship at Lakeside Park Saturday.

Sam Heaton easily claimed the women's individual title, covering the 5K championship course in a time of 18:05.74. Teammates McKayla Morgan and Harley Murray followed in second and third place with times of 18:14.55 and 18:15.88, respectively.
Missouri-Kansas City came in second place with 66 points, followed by Seattle U in third with 66 points. NM State was fourth with 98 points, followed by Grand Canyon (105) and UT Rio Grande Valley (199). CSU Bakersfield (seventh, 199) and Chicago State (eighth, 242) rounded out the teams.
