WAC RUNNERS OF THE WEEK
New Mexico State's Jereme Santistevan and Seattle U's Lila Rice have been named Western Athletic Conference Runners of the Week, respectively, for Sept. 28-Oct. 4. This is Rice's second honor this year.

Santistevan ran the 8k in 24:59.4 and placed 25th in the field that included host Kansas, No. 22 Iowa State, and Nebraska. The sophomore from Pojoaque, N.M. is the top runner for the Aggies who are currently 15th in the Mountain Region by the USTFCCCA. Santistevan has been NM State's top finisher consistently in every meet this season.

Rice was the first from Seattle U to cross the finish line (for the third time this season), beating her personal career best by almost one minute. The junior from Redmond, Wash. Ran the 6k in 21:05.8 for 57th place out of 113 runners at the Washington Invitational. The Washington Invitational put Seattle U up against some of the top cross country teams in the nation (four of the Top 12 teams in the nation were running) - Oregon, Washing- ton, Stanford, BYU, Air Force, Gonzaga, Eastern Washington, Portland, Washington State, UCLA and Oregon State all competed.

CSU BAKERSFIELD
Valdez's time allowed the Bakersfield native to register the fifth-fastest?time for a ‘Runner since CSUB moved to NCAA Division I in 2007. Valdez also led CSUB for the fourth consecutive race, a feat accomplished by only three other ‘Runners since the Division I leap. The ‘Runners only raced four student-athletes and, as such, did not register a team score. Three of the four ‘Runners registered personal bests at the 6k distance.

MISSOURI-KANSAS CITY
It was a down week for the primary runners of the ‘Roos cross country squad, but those who ran posted positive results in the Rim Rock Classic. This was the second time the team has ran at Rim Rock Farm in Lawrence, Kansas this season, and as a whole, times were drastically improved from the previous trip. UMKC now has nearly two weeks off to prepare for a major test at the Pre-National invite hosted by Louisville on October 17.

NM STATE
NM State men are ranked 15th in the USTFCCCA Mountain Region poll. The Aggies have this weekend off before running again at the Santa Clara Bronco Invitational on Oct. 17 in Sunnyvale, Calif.

SEATTLE U
The Washington Invitational put Seattle U up against some of the top cross country teams in the nation (four of the Top 12 teams in the nation were running) - Oregon, Washington, Stanford, BYU, Air Force, Gonzaga, Eastern Washington, Portland, Washington State, UCLA and Oregon State all competed. In this fast race, almost every runner from Seattle U set a personal best.

UT RIO GRANDE VALLEY
The Vaqueros didn't compete last week after competing in two meets the week before. Teresa Sova was named WAC Runner of the Week last week after finishing 52nd out of 146 total runners at the Texas A&M Invitational. She finished with a career-best time of 22:06, which is a 75-second improvement from her previous time. The Vaqueros are back in action this week when they travel to San Antonio to compete at the UIW Invitational.

WAC CHAMPIONSHIP
The 2015 WAC Cross Country Championship travels to Orem, Utah. This year's championships will be hosted by Utah Valley. The Utah Valley men will look to win a third-consecutive WAC title. Seattle U claimed the women's title last season and will be looking to repeat.
