DENVER - Missouri-Kansas City's Antoine Rozner and NM State's Viviana Macias have been named Western Athletic Conference Men's and Women's Golfers of the Month, respectively, for October.

Rozner, a senior from Paris, France (Lycee Jean de la Fontaine), continued his outstanding fall into October, playing one international tournament and one collegiate tournament for the Roos. In his lone collegiate tournament of the month, he broke a pair UMKC school records at the Price's “Give ‘Em 5” Invitational in El Paso, Texas. Rozner's first round of 63 was a UMKC best and his tournament score of 197 was also the best even by the Roos' golfer. On the international scene, he represented France at The Spirit International Amateur Golf Championship at Whispering Pines Golf Club in Trinity, Texas. Teaming with Gregoire Schoeb, he led France to a second-place finish, four strokes behind the United States.

Macias, a senior from Guadalajara, Mexico (Colegio de Bachilleres del Estado de Jalisco), averaged 70.3 strokes per round in a pair of tournaments. She defended NM State's home course, winning the Aggie Invitational with a six-under 210. At the Rainbow Wahine Invitational, Macias shot a four-under 212 to take second place. The senior leads all WAC golfers this season with a 72.09 stroke average this fall.
