Complete NCAA Tournament Bracket
OREM, Utah - (UVU Media Relations) The Utah Valley University women's soccer team will make the short trip down University Parkway to take on Brigham Young in the first round of the 2015 NCAA Women's Soccer Tournament, the selection committee announced Monday afternoon during the live selection show.
The Wolverines (14-6-2) and Cougars (15-2-2) will face off on Saturday, Nov. 14 at 1 p.m. at South Field. BYU holds a 1-0 all-time advantage over UVU with the Cougars taking a 1-0 victory in 2012 at South Field.
Utah Valley makes its first-ever appearance in the NCAA Tournament after capturing the WAC Tournament Championship Sunday afternoon with a 2-0 shutout victory over Seattle U. The win earned the Wolverines the WAC's automatic bid into the tournament.
BYU won its fourth-straight West Coast Conference title this season to earn the league's auto bid into the tournament. The 13th-ranked Cougars host an NCAA Tournament first round game for the third time in the last four years.
Tickets will go on sale Tuesday at noon at BYUtickets.com. Reserved seatback tickets are $10, general admission tickets are $7 and tickets for children ages 2-5 are $1. Student tickets are $3.
A total of 64 teams will compete in the tournament with 31 teams earning an automatic bid and 33 more receiving at-large bids.
