DENVER - University of Idaho's Maryann Kok has been named Western Athletic Conference Swimmer of the week, respectively, for Nov. 2-Nov. 8.

Kok, a freshman from Selangor, Shah, Alam, Malaysia (Sunway University College) placed first in the 50 free race with a time of 24.09 and won the 100 free with a time of 53.34. Kok was also a member of both of the winning relay teams in Idaho's win over Seattle U.

Other swimmer nominees: Seattle U's Blaise Wittenauer-Lee won all three individual events she competed in last Saturday as Seattle University hosted Idaho. First, she came from behind to win the 100 breaststroke by just 5/100ths of a second with a time of 1:05.04. She then went wire-to-wire in the other two events, starting with a two-second victory in the 200 breaststroke with a mark of 2:19.97. In the 200 individual medley, she showed her versatility by posting the fastest split on each leg, extending her lead to 4.2 seconds at the end with a time of 2:08.30.
