KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Top-seed Seattle U didn't show any signs of rust in its first tournament match of the season, tying a WAC-tournament record in a 4-0 defeat of CSU Bakersfield on Friday at Durwood Soccer Stadium in Kansas City.

The Redhawks opened the scoring in the 20th minute as Alex Roldan fired a laser into the bottom corner of the net to give SU the early 1-0 lead. David Olsen made it 2-0 in the 27th minute after a shot by Sergio Rivas deflected off the crossbar.

Olsen scored his second goal of the evening in the 57th minute following a free kick by Sam Langston. Just 70 seconds later, SU's Michael Roberts helped the Redhawks tie the WAC record for goals in a tournament match with an unassisted goal for the 4-0 lead.

With the win, the Redhawks advance to Sunday's championship match where they will take on Utah Valley.
