DENVER - A pair of men's soccer players from the Western Athletic Conference have been honored as Academic All-America selections by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
Incarnate Word senior forward
Dylan Kelly earned Second Team honors for the second straight season. Majoring in engineering management, he holds a 3.86 grade-point average while also starting on the pitch for the Cardinals.
Houston Baptist sophomore defender
Bryan Brody was also honored, earning Third Team honors. An international business major, he holds a perfect 4.00 grade-point average.
Notre Dame senior midfielder Patrick Hodan was named 2015 CoSIDA Academic All-America of the Year.
To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his current institution. In addition, nominated athletes must have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's games at the position listed.
