WAC Swimmers of the Week
Grand Canyon's legor Lytvenok and Mike Bidak have been named Western Athletic Conference Swimmer and Diver of the week, respectively, for Nov. 16-Nov. 22.

Lytvenok, a senior from Kryviy Rig, Ukraine (MP Dragomanov National Pedagogic University) time in the 200 IM has a CollegeSwimming.com performance score of 856.0 and is the highest rated performance of any WAC swimmer this season. It is also a NCAA B qualifying time. His time is currently the 4th fastest 200 IM time in DI and the fastest in the WAC this season. It was the pool record at Norris Aquatic Center, erasing the record previously held by Olympian Matt Grevers. It was also a team record.

Bidak, a senior from Scottsdale, Ariz. (Horizon HS) scored a 299.45 on the 1 meter, placing second, 307.15 on the 3 meter, again placing second and 209.50 on the platform dive placing third to help his team to a second place finish at the Northwestern TYR Invitational.

Grand Canyon's Iryna Glavnyk and Northern Arizona's Chelsea Jackson have been named Western Athletic Conference Swimmer and Diver of the week, respectively, for Nov. 16-Nov. 22.

Glavnyk, a junior from Kiev, Ukraine (All-Republic Higher Specialized School in Physical Education) 100 Back time had a CollegeSwimmimg.com performance score of 798.0. It is an NCAA B Cut and it is the 44th fastest time in DI and the fastest in the WAC this season. The junior's 200 Back time had a CollegeSwimmimg.com performance score of 797.0. It is an NCAA B Cut and it is the 36th fastest time in DI and the fastest in the WAC this season. Glavnyk's 200 Back time had a CollegeSwimmimg.com performance score of 783.0. It is an NCAA B Cut and it is the 64th fastest time in DI and the fastest in the WAC this season.

Jackson, a senior from Flagstaff, Ariz. (Northland Prep) placed in the top seven on all three boards at the Wildcat Diving Invitational this weekend, featuring competition from the host University of Arizona, San Diego State and WAC opponents Northern Colorado, Idaho and New Mexico State among others. She was the only diver from the WAC to do so. Her highlight came on Saturday, finishing runner-up in the 1-meter competition with a score of 279.65, one day after placing seventh on 3-meter with a score of 266.75.

CSU BAKERSFIELD
The Roadrunner men took on a tough A3 Performance Invitational and performed well behind the solid swims of sophomore Lovre Soric. The Croatian posted excellent times in 200 back, 200 IM, 100 breast, as well as the 100 back. Several other ‘Runners posted personal best times in the meet that featured some of the region's and nation's best teams including Stanford, UC Santa Barbara, USC, and UCLA. The women had a great meet at the A3 Performance Invitational highlighted by multiple personal bests and one NCAA B cut. CSUB's women were led by junior Dylana Milobar and freshman Sabrina Zavala. Milobar excelled in the breaststroke events, placing 13th in the finals of the 200 breast with the second-best time in the WAC this season (2:20.42).

GRAND CANYON
The GCU men set 10 pool records, 11 team records, and won 20 of the 25 events at the Northwestern TYR Invitational this week.

NORTHERN ARIZONA
NAU enjoyed a great weekend in Tucson at the Wildcat Diving Invitational, recording five top eight finishes combined and 15 top 16 finishes overall between six of the team's divers. Chelsea Jackson placed in the top seven three times, while Raquel Gonzales placed third on platform. Christina Torrente placed in the top 13 three times, Alexa Geiger placed ninth on 3-meter and Carlye Townsend made the consolation finals on both springboards among a host of highlights.

NORTHERN COLORADO
Swimmers finished 10th (out of 10) at the Phill Hansel Invite, with 238 points. Divers did not have team scores.

UNLV
The Rebels ended up fifth overall at the Georgia Tech Invitational this past weekend. They had several swimmers who were both WAC ranked as well as set own personal records.

WAC CHAMPIONSHIP
The 2015 WAC Swimming and Diving Championship travels to Houston, Texas. The UNLV men's swim team captured the WAC title while the Northern Arizona women's team took the crown at the WAC championships last year.
