DENVER - NM State's Dorottya Lennert and Northern Arizona's Chelsea Jackson have been named Western Athletic Conference Swimmer and Diver of the week, respectively, for Oct. 26-Nov. 1.

Lennert, from Budapest, Hungary (CSIK Ferenc HS) won every single event she swam in taking the top time in the 200-yard butterfly at 2:03.92. She also finished first in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 53.44 seconds and first in the 100-yard butterfly in 56.64 seconds. Lennert was also a part of the first place finishing 400-yard freestyle relay team with a combined time of 3:36.55.

Jackson, a senior from Flagstaff, Ariz. (Northland Prep) garnered two top four finishes overall in the two-day double-dual versus LSU and Wyoming, including a first place overall finish on 1-meter, where she picked up an NCAA Zone E qualifying mark for the fourth time in her career. On 1-meter she bested all her opponents with a score of 281.10 in a field that included two All-Americans from LSU, who finished sixth and seventh respectively. On 3-meter, she placed fourth overall and was third head-to-head against both LSU and Wyoming in separate dual meet scoring.

Other swimmer nominees: Idaho's Sarah Hall won the 200 free with a time of 1:53.47, the 500 free with a time of 5:05.81 and was a member of the first place 400 free relay team which posted a time of 3:32.73. Northern Arizona's Kendall Brown won three events overall (800m freestyle once and 400m freestyle twice) during NAU's season-opening two-day double-dual against SEC power LSU and a highly competitive opponent in Wyoming. She collected three of NAU's four overall swimming victories during the two days, but also placed second in the 400m IM and third in the 200m IM. Leilani Herrera from Northern Colorado set her season record for the 200 Breast at New Mexico, and her season record for 200 IM at New Mexico State.

Other diver nominees: Savanna Meadows from Northern Colorado set a score on the 1M Dive at the NMSU meet that for the second time this season has earned her a score that qualifies for NCAA Zones. Her 3M Dive at New Mexico is also her highest score so far this season.
