DENVER - Grand Canyon senior forward Grandy Glaze has been named Western Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week of Dec. 7-13. This is his first-ever WAC Player of the Week honor.

The Toronto, Ontario, native averaged 24.5 points on a blazing 87.5 percent shooting, 5.5 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.0 steals per game as the Antelopes went 1-1 on the week. In a win over Southern last Tuesday, Glaze scored a career-high 20 points on 9-of-10 shooting. He also grabbed five rebounds and dished out two assists. In an overtime loss to Omaha on Sunday, Glaze re-set his career high with 29 points on 12-of-14 shooting with six rebounds and two steals. It was the third and fourth time that Glaze has shot above 85 percent from the field (with at least eight attempts) this season.

Other nominees included: CSU Bakersfield's Dedrick Basille finished with 20 points, five rebounds, two assists and two steals in a win at South Dakota ... LaVell Boyd of Missouri-Kansas City averaged 17.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.5 steals as the Roos went 1-1 on the week ... NM State's Ian Baker finished with 20 points, four rebounds, three assists and a steal in a loss to Wyoming ... William Powell of Seattle U finished with 15 points on 75 percent shooting, six rebounds, four assists and two steals in a loss at UAB ... UT Rio Grande Valley's Shaquille Hines averaged 15.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.5 steals on the week ... Jaden Jackson of Utah Valley averaged 18.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists as the Wolverines went 2-0 on the week.
