DENVER – Utah Valley’s Brayden Eriksen and New Mexico State’s Camille Orito have been named the Western Athletic Conference Golfers of the Week for Feb. 9 - Feb. 15.

Eriksen, a senior from Qualicum Beach, B.C., Canada (Kwalikum HS), finished in a tie for third place at the Pizza Hut Pat Hicks Invitational at Sunbrook Golf Course in St. George, Utah.  He finished the two-round tournament with a six-under 138 after holding the lead after the first round with a seven-under 65.  As a team, the Wolverines took third among 13 teams at the tournament hosted by Southern Utah.

Orito, a sophomore from Fresno, Calif. (Clovis West HS), tied for sixth place in a weather-shortened Delta Gamma Challenge in New Braunfels, Texas.  She carded a three-under 68 in Sunday’s first round to sit just one shot out of the lead before shooting a three-over 74 in the second round to finish at an even-par 142 in the two-round tournament.  The first round 68 is the lowest of any Aggie this season and a career-low for Orito.

Other men nominated: Grand Canyon junior Brett Wilson took second at the Carlton Oaks WIU Invitational, carding a 10-over 226…Seattle U freshman Joe Harvie finished tied for 17th at the Barona Collegiate Cup, shooting a two-under 214 in the 75-player field.

Other women nominated: Seattle U sophomore Jamie Huo shot an 11-over 227 at the CSUN Matador Invitational..Utah Valley sophomore Kimberly Nyhus tied for 29th at the FGCU Eagle Invitational, carding a 23-over 239.
