DENVER – Missouri-Kansas City’s Antoine Rozner and Seattle U’s Ellen Brantberg have been named the Western Athletic Conference Golfers of the Week for Mar. 16 – Mar. 22.
Rozner, a junior from Paris, France (Lycee de la Fontaine), won his second title of the year with a 12-under 204 at the Desert Shootout in Goodyear, Ariz. The 204 ranks as the fourth-lowest 54-hole tournament score in school history and his second-round 66 is tied for the ninth-lowest round in UMKC history.
Brantberg, a sophomore from Stockholm, Sweden (Viktor Rydberg Gymnasium), shot the only sub-par round of the tournament on the final day to win medalist honors at the Monterey Bay Invitational in Carmel, Calif. Finishing with a 15-over 228, she became the first Redhawk since 2012 to earn medalist honors as Seattle U earned its first team victory since the program was establish for the 2008-09 season.
